wondering how you're going to survive another school year?
this presentation is for you
A guide for Tired teachers navigating Life, Work and Wellbeing

Online Class AU$125
The education system is not designed to look after you, and it's not an accident.

Don't mistake me. I'm not saying the education system is some evil empire full of storm troopers out to get you.

But it is a system that simply is not designed to look after the people who work within it. That's just not the point of it.

There are people within the system making moves in that direction (thank goodness), but it’s a massive task to shift the many forces of such a complex structure that are working against that aim.

The reality is that the system is not designed to look after you, the individual person who works in it. And that is a feature, not a bug.

In this workshop we will cover how you can survive a system like that.

About the presenter: Ellen Ronalds Keene

Founder of Self-Care for Teachers and host of the Teacher Wellbeing podcast.

I help teachers cultivate personal wellbeing and navigate career transitions.

I'm a teacher turned wellbeing coach and I have a strong focus on my clients as 'people first, teachers second'.

I've been coaching teachers since 2015, supporting them with a range of wellbeing and career goals. I also have a growing library of on demand resources to support teachers to be proactive about life, work and wellbeing.

Please note: This presentation is not for you if you’re wanting to skip the reasons people are struggling to survive (the result being massive workforce shortages as teachers leave in droves) and go straight to ‘let’s all thrive’.

Sure. Of course. I’m all for teacher wellbeing. I literally have a podcast about it.

But I know for so many teachers right now, that’s a bridge too far when they’re feeling completely let down, run down and burnt out by the system. So this presentation is about the first step from that place, which is surviving.

However, this presentation IS for you if:

You love teaching (or you used to).

But now you're wondering how you'll survive another year and whether staying in the job is the right decision or if it's time to move on.

Before you make that decision, please watch this presentation.

There are some things I want you to know, that I think could really help you have a different experience of working in the education system this year (and beyond!)

  • "Really helpful information."
  • "I'll have to spend more time thinking on these questions because I've realised I don't have answers."
